Wii freezes then unfreezes while playing

I've been having problems with my wii lately, it will freeze for about 2-6 seconds then unfreeze but this will keep happening while playing. Anybody have any ideas to help me?

and how old is your wii?

I got my wii in 08 and I was playing goldeneye when it started

Hmmm
I don't know too much about goldeneye. I had a freezing problem with SSBB because it's a duel layered disk.
