Wii in Black & White - How to get color

Just started the Wii up in Singapore after moving from US, using a step down converter for power from 220 - 110, but Wii in Black n White rather than color. Do I need the better Audio cable since I have an new HDTV (LCD) TV?

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
