This isn't a problem or anything, but when I play wii Bowling,I can go all the way down the hall and bowl a strike. With most games,I can play down the hall. When i try to point the Wii-mote in the hallway, when it's just the Wii Menu..........nothing shows up. Does anybody know why that happens?

Using the pointer requires you to be closer, but when playing bowling on wii sports your not really using pointer your using motion sensors. But if your talking about the pointer not working while far away and your on the wii screen and it works on the game screen i dunno XD.

Its because the Wiimote can send a BT signal to the Wii from pretty far away, but when you are that far away it can't see the infrared light from the sensor bar. So you can still do stuff that just uses the accelorometers but you can't do things that use the sensor bar (pointing).
