not that they have stated but they have the ability to play the videos off of the SD card so if you put a music video on ur SD card i bet you can watch it from your wii .... or music as well if you put a song on a slideshow of pics and make it a movie file and put it on the SD card to the wii and watch it i guess but they have not annmounced anyhting about music cd playing abilities nor DVD playing abilities
