Wii Netflix Resolution Issues

Hi there, hoping someone out here can help me. I have a standard Sony Wega Trinitron (old type tube) TV hooked up to my Wii. I received my Netflix dvd in the mail today and tried it out. British comedies like Fawlty Towers and The Office are squished vertically with black bars on either side of the picture while American shows such as the american version of The Office that I believe should be widescreen letterbox appear to be too large and squished horizontally.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Do I need a newer widescreen LCD tv to make the resolutions in Netflix work correctly? Games on the Wii display properly on the Sony.

Duh

Well, after a very helpful call to Netflix support, I checked my Wii settings and I had Widescreen checked. Unchecked it and now everything looks great. Netflix on the Wii rocks.
