Wii Problem

Basically, one side of my Wii is room temperature while the other is hot. I lay my Wii on its side on a wooden surface and I also had a skin on it (took it off when I discovered the heat problem). But here's the weird thing: I left my Wii for a few days standing up (without the stand, which I lost) to let the hot side cool off, but yet it still is hot to the touch. Is there something going on inside my Wii? Is this something to worry about, and if so, how can I fix it? Or is this normal? Thanks in advance.

If you have WiiConnect24 turned on (your power light would be orange instead of red when turned off), then the Wii will still be a little warm because the wifi connection is still active. Unless there's a problem with adequate ventilation, then there's nothing to worry about.
