I'm currently in China for a year, and ofcourse the Wii will be released here as well.
I was just wondering what region-issues I might have. I feel quite - to quite a lot ;) - compelled to buy me a Wii here, should be fun to get together in the dorm and play with some friends during the cold winter.
However, I don't want to leave it behind when I'm going back home (next year's july), to Europe (PAL).

So, what's the deal ? I suppose I won't be able to play European games on it, I could still be able to live with that and just import them , BUT, my biggest concern is the online-mode .. any thoughts on that as well ?

Thanks !

I believe that each Wii is region-locked, so if you were to buy it in china, you would be connecting to China servers only (However, there aren't many details publicly available on how the Wii channels will be setup for online gameplay concerning servers), same would be for games, would only be able to play games from China too.
