Wii Sports Help?

I just got my Wii a day or two ago and I cant seem to get the hang of the controller movements.Example. Curveball in baseball can some one please let me know what movements I need to do these moves?

Curveball is hold "B" and pitch. Screw ball is hold "A" and pitch. It's all in the book.
