Hi everyone, today I'll explain in detail each next-gen console features for those blind gamers that don't see the deal the Wii U offers and preffer to buy a Xbone/Ps4 console instead (what kind of wrong decision!!). The Wii U has features that easily COUNTER those features, off course if you use them often or it really matters for you. Well here we go!!

Xbox One

- Instant switching : That means the console can switch instantaneously between games and apps (programs, tv, music, etc..). Or if you want do two things at the same time like playing a game while listen to the music or watch TV.

- Voice and gesture recognition: The classic Kinect features enhanced for XboxOne, those features allows you to control the XboxOne like turn on and off the console, switch between programs, and the crazy gestures to play your games.
- Integrated Skype: This program allows you to chat in real time with friends around the world, the console supports up to 3 chats at the same time and allows you to play a game while chat with friends with split screen.

-Exclusive apps: There are many apps you can use with XboxOne, but some are exclusive like the NFL that shows the latest statistics and games in real time. Also, the classic Movie, music, tv apps.

-DVR: This feature allows you to record and share with friends your gameplay (not so popular between gamers).
-HDMI passthrough: This feature allows you control your satellite/cable box connecting it to the XboxOne HDMI-IN port.
-Mobile devices interconnect: This feature uses the smartglass app to install into your smart phone or tablet, so you can use it to play a game or control your XboxOne.
-Enhanced Xbox Live Service: The same xbox360 features with a little bit better achievement system with personal scores updated all the time. (better, but costly).
-Bluray player: The XboxOne can play your favorite Blu-ray titles.
-Exclusive games: Very few games at lauch that Microsoft thinks will help increase the sales. (Bad strategy).
-Far better AI: This means that the XboxOne and games recognise the way you play, what you like most, what you dislike, and adjust your preferences accordingly.

Well, we'll continue with the Ps4 features tomorrow.
Thanks everybody!!

Unleash the hardcore gamer in you!!

Well, my friends let's continue.

PS4:
The console shares some features with the XboxOne, but it has less features...

Multi-switching: This feature alllows to switch between some apps, games, and chat. Also, you can do two things at the same time.
Apps: You can download different apps, this could be for entertaiment, games or functions. (nothing new compared to tablets).
Share button: this button allows you streaming in real time your gameplay or recorded video to the cloud. (a little bit better than XboxOne, but not so much).
Advanced AI: This feature teaches the PS4 the way you play and your favorite preferences.
Redesigned Dual-Shock Controller: Nothing new except the touchpad and the blue light to control your info. (this touchpad feature is already beaten by the Wii U gamepad).
Playstation app: Allows you to control your PS4 using a mobile device like a smartphone, tablet, etc as a second screen and to buy games or info.
PsVita integration: Uses the PSVita to play your favorite games as a remote play or second screen. A very expensive configuration for your wallet instead the Wii U gamepad better functions. Also, the PS4 only supports one and only one Psvita, not two as someone thinks.
New trophy system: A new system that updates in real time your personal scores and statistics, also updates your old Ps3 profile.
Plays Blurays: As a standard in new devices.
Paystation Camera: The same camera redesigned from the PS3 move system, allows you a better 3D control with the dualshock controller, face recognition, and some voice commands too. (Sold separately, that increases your cost).
-Game Exclusives: Well, as the XboxOne the PS4 has a few exclusive games to atract more gamers, but as I said this strategy doesn't work if you have only four or three exclusives and the rest are multiplatform games.
Future gaming stream: Not yet implemented, this feature allows you to play games with direct streaming from the cloud, thanks due Sony owns Gaikai...
Download games while playing: You can download a game and start playing it inmediately, only for some games that support this feature. (Telling the truth, this not represents any advantage, at the end you have to wait until the game dowloads completely to play the whole game).

Well, next we'll talking about the Wii U features. If I forget something, please let me know...

Thanks!!

The games?

Well, I'll show what exclusives Ps4/XboxOne has:

XboxOne: Forza 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Titan fall, Halo 5, and Quantum Break. Between the harcoregames or the most interesting games.

Ps4: DriveClub, killzone: Shadow Fall, The Order: 1886, inFamous: Second Son, Contrast, Deep Down, and Resogun. Those are the most important games in the Ps4 library, the rest are multiplatform games.

You forget 'bout Killer Instinct, the most "hardcore" of exclusives t' appear this gen. A Nextbox exclusive.

... Such a shame both it and Titanfall are Xbone exclusives. =/

... Oh. It's a Microsoft exclusive, rather than just a Nextbox exclusive. derp

Not at all. Assuming the multiplayer lives up t' the hype it's built up, it'l supposedly "revolutionize" competitive play for shooters. Same reason I mentioned Killer Instinct, really: competitiveness.

Haha. Also Magikarp is awesome.

Well, until I'll show you the Wii U features. Could someone explain if those features are valid reasons to spend 100 or 200 bucks more than the Wii U on a PS4 or Xbone console?
What you think?

No feature is worth that t' me, but to the next gamer, especially one who ain't a budget gamer, it very well might be. If someone wants a media center and is a Microsod fan (and also feels like screwing themselves over) they very well might believe that extra price is worth the features. insert similar generic argument for ps4 here

Also exclusives, the universal "feature" for which most consoles are purchased.

Well, as you said some budget gamers are the people that believe whatever Microsoft or Sony presents, if they show them a console with hot cakes, they'll buy it by the hot cakes wherever are good or not. And they won change their opinions even Nintendo shows better value features. Take for example the graphics, the mayority of them believe that the Xbone/ps4 graphics are astounding realistic and think the Wii U is last-gen that cannot match those graphics, but this faq is not valid anymore. The xbone/ps4 graphics are a little bit better, BUT YOU WON SEE A HUGE DIFFERENCE. If not check this out these video comparisons.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypTPaPvVB8g"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypTPaPvVB8g

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTiD9-Ma5HE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTiD9-Ma5HE

As you see, there isn't a huge difference. Someone could say that's beacause Assassin's Creed 4 is a first launch title and doesn't take the full horsepower potential and with future titles we'll see the real difference. But remember, the Wii U has untapped horsepower not released yet, so by the time the developers will squeeze it to its limits too. At the end we don't see the huge difference as expected, so the difference will be marked by other features. The console that has the best features for your value is the console that will win this generation...

Perception is everything. To some, the U is a ripoff whereas the other consoles are better priced. Opinion will sway someone more than fact, even when said fact is absolute truth (one console being a better value than the other is not absolute truth, mind you).

Maximum graphical capabilities < RAM and such

On that note, your argument usin' AC:IV is actually invalid. Environmental physics and frame rate is the highlight difference between last gen and this gen AC:IV releases, not scaled-up graphics. The former is quite nice t' have in single player, while the latter is a huge problem for both single and multiplayer. The PS4 and XBone AC:IV ports are gonna be wholly superior to the U release, (completely unused) Gamepad be damned.

Well. here we go:

Wii U features

Wii U Gamepad: The Wii U features are based on the Wii U gamepad that is the console's core, it comes fully integrated and it's designed to play like a popular tablet, but with more features like the touchpad/tv screen interaction, the motion control gyroscope, the camera, the speakers, microphone and the NFC untapped tech. With the combination of those features the developers can create deeper experiences that can be replicated well on other consoles.
Apps: The Wii U has its variety of apps like the other consoles, but Nintendo has enormous experience creating special apps that pleases the gamers like the Miiverse, the wara wara plaza, TVii, Wii Fit U, etc... Also, the third-party apps like Netfix, Hulu, Amazon, and the gaming apps like Uplay.
Wii U chat: You can chat using this app in video conferences around the world, you can't chat and play a game at the same time if this game doesn't support that function, but every time you can pause the game using the home button and launch the chat or your favorite app and later continue playing a game.
Remote play: As you know you can play games that support this feature directly on your gamepad and leave the TV for your mom or dad, or play it as a second screen. Also, using your gamepad to control your TV.
Wiimote/nunchuck, classic controllers support: As you see the Wii U supports the Wii controllers, Wii U Pro controller, Wii Fit, etc. Also, games that support a specific control.
Retro-compatibillity: The Wii U plays all the Wii games offering a good upgrade value, also in the future Nintendo plans to introduce an upscaler system that improves the Wii games resolution and aspect.
Virtual console games: Another good feature, play your favorite old school console games inclusive on your gamepad.
Indie games: The Wii U has a good library of Indie games that is expanding by 2014.
Exclusive Games: The Wii U has the classic exclusive games by Nintendo like Smash Brothers, Mario, Metroid and Zelda. Also, second-party exclusives like Bayoneta 2, Xenoblade project and many more in development.

We will continue next...
