Wiimote freaks out during RE4

I just got to chapter 3-1 and for some reason the wii remote starts going nuts. Out of nowhere, Leon will start spinning in 360s. This didn't happen at all before. Has this happened to anyone else? It sucks because I have to reset the game for it to correct itself :/

try unplugging the wii and plugging it back in. or just unplug the nunchuck from the wiimote.

Do you think it has something to do with the motion sensitivity of the Nunchuck? RE4 doesn't use that, that I'm aware of.

Have you tried unplugging the nunchuck and plugging it back in? Sometimes I get it stuck moving left, but unplugging seems to fix it and doesn't come back.
