Hello, new to the site and having problems with my wiimote. Bought the blue Wii (with mario and sonic at the olympics) at christmas. The blue wiimote worked fine up until two weeks ago, when for some reason, the 'hand pointer' on the screen points to the left, instead of straight up. Holding the wiimote with left side up moves the cursor to correct orientation, but is obviously unusable like this. Have tried all the variations on re-syncing the wiimote (holding the red button for 15s; holding red button on wiimote and wii similtaneously for 15s) but to no avail. Tried again today and after syncing, the pointer was in correct orientation for less than 5s after syncing, but then reverted to pointing to the left.

Any ideas, or is the wiimote broken? Hasn't been damaged or anything.....

Press the Home button and try re-connecting the Wiimote, if that helps.

If not, try re-positioning the sensor bar.

    Wiimote

Tried re-syncing numerous times and re-positioning the sensor bar. However, we have an additional wiimote that works fine, so don't think it is the sensor bar. Any other ideas?
