Activision has announced that it will be releasing a sequel to last year’s hit game based on the ABC television show, Wipeout, on all major consoles, including the Wii. Wipeout 2 will offer updated outrageous course designs featuring obstacles and effects taken straight from the show’s summer and winter seasons. Players will have to navigate their way around snow, ice, foam, and fan-favourite obstacles such as the Sucker Punch Wall and Big Balls. Once again, all the wild and crazy action is narrated by the show’s hosts, John Anderson and John Henson.
For the Wii version in particular, fans will find that the controls have been freshly revised to ensure intuitive and easy-to-use motion-based gameplay. Look for the game to hit the shelves in time for the holidays. If you’re in the US, you can watch Wipeout on Thursdays 8/7c on ABC.
