Wolf stuck in dungeon

I've been stuck for a while trying to get the wolf out of the dungeon. I've dug around it seems like everywhere with no luck. What's the trick here?

where exactly are you stuck?

I actually just figured it out...it was at the spot where Link was first tranformed into WolfLink and had to escape the prison cell....I just had to look up the controls on how to perform the Attack move to break the box

ok cool. so u figured out that you can use the wolf senses to find hidden areas to dig for things.
