The wrestling stars who will be featured on the cover of THQ’s forthcoming “WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2011″ Wii game have just been revealed, and it’s quite a big list, let me tell you! Okay, deep breath – WWE Superstars John Cena, Big Show and The Miz will all be appearing on the front cover in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and India, while WWE Superstars Randy Orton, Undertaker and Sheamus will appear on the front cover available throughout Europe. And that’s not even all, as more cover stars for further regions will be announced later in the year. This will actually be one of the few times in WWE franchise history that there have been multiple variations of the cover artwork available throughout the world.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 aims to give players even greater creative and decision-making freedom, with gameplay scenarios changing based on player decisions, allowing for more*spontaneous WWE action both inside the ring and out of it. Players will also have greater control of their destinies in the Road to WrestleMania story mode. The game is set to feature its largest offering to date of creation and customisation features, with more creative tools than ever before that players can use to customise their WWE Superstars, finishing moves and story designs. The WWE Community Creations feature has also been simplified to make searching and sharing content easier.

In terms of the roster, well that’s bigger and better than ever too, as you might expect, featuring more than 70 WWE Superstars and WWE Divas. Each in-game model will have new skin textures and movement technology to make the wrestlers and Divas as authentic-looking as possible. A new physics system will also ensure all matches and object interactions look and feel unique, dynamic and unpredictable. Here’s Danny Bilson, executive vice president, Core Games, THQ, talking about the game:

“John Cena, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Big Show, The Miz and Sheamus are incredibly talented WWE Superstars who took part in some of the biggest moments ever witnessed in WWE. We look forward to delivering an unparalleled WWE simulation experience with WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, including best-in-class creative tools and decision-making abilities for players to define their own virtual WWE moments.”

WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2011 is due for release on the Wii on October 26th.
