xbox core soon to be xbox arcade?

There are a couple rumors online about the Xbox 360 core becoming xbox arcade with a "free" 256 MB memory card, Wireless controller, and 5 downloads from xbox arcade place. What do you think? If you don’t already own a 360 would this get you to pay the $279 price tag?

I know I am getting the pro next week, but Microsoft is after the guy that has the money for a Nintendo Wii or 360 core. which one does he want the 360 with great graphics or the Wii with the motion sensing (I owned a Nintendo Wii thought it was overhyped IMO)
