xfer mii from wii to wii

Before I got a Wii, my roomate had one and I created a Mii character on there. Now I have my own Wii and would like to transfer my Mii character. However, after transfering with the remote and dumping it on my system, it says I can't edit my Mii character because I didn't actually create it. I did, but it was on a diff Wii. So, my question is this... do I have to make a new Mii on my new Wii? Or is it possible to transfer the Mii and all respective rights to my new console? thanks for your help.

Actuuuuuuualy you don't.

If you go to the Mii menu you can transfer the characters to a Wiimote and use them from there. Don't think you can transfer back but it's a start.

yea but transfering the Mii to a console other than the original means you can no longer edit the Mii. I'm not even sure if it saves your actual data :/ I'll just create a new one. I wasn't even pro in any of the Wii Sports yet Haven't been playing all that long.
