^Well, the TP players who didn't think Ganondorf was going to be the final boss (all 7 of them!) thought that it would be Zant. I think they made the boss battle with him both easy and weird as a surprise to those players.
Kinda reminds me of the battle with Majora in MM. Trippy, man.
