zelda help!?

i need help on Zelda....i never really got into zelda before now and i'm in need of some help...I'm stuck very early in the game when the monkey captures the little boy after i teach them to use a sword...i can't find him or how to get past the spider web in the tunnel where i found his toy wooden sword

To pass the spider web, just fire it using the oil lantern.
