New skills [SPOILER]

I am at the part were I have to reach Lakebed Temple. I read a faq and it said to get the Backslice I needed to howl in Zora's river. I am already in Link form, is there any way to get this skill? I only have one skill, I read also that the Shield skill is in Death Mountain, which I missed too.

I didnt howl at death mountain either but I did it after that cave that you fly through. (should I find the wolf?)

you have to find those stones and howling will become available, which i think by that point you can switch between the wolf and link?

I howled before too, but it said you needed to howl in Lake Hylia. I saw the howl stone there when I was in human form.

beat the water temple, then you can change into a wolf and link on demand and you can howl there
