what are those statue things?

I got Twilight princess 2 days ago and Ive noticed these bronze-brown statue things with a hole in the middle of them?

Not that i like to spoil my game but I simply must know... what are they?

You'll use it when you advance further in game. For a long time they're useless.

You won't use them for like thirty hours, and the segment you use them in is really short. They're not that cool.
