ARGH! this is so making me stressed, i cant get past that first route(with the hogs and birds). I hate it i've tried about 50 times now, still no luck. I keep trying to get the bird with arrows but it just misses and then when it goes round again i miss again. Is there anyway to make this bit easier?

This part I have never struglled with. Dunno how people find it so difficult.
Anyhoo try to stick close to the wagon, like ride right along side it and never go ahead of it to clear some enemies. When enemies do come shoot, swing do whatever it takes to get rid of them but be do this whilst sticking close to the wagon either behind or on the side and only leave it to take out the boar riders but come straight back. Make sure to use the gale boomerang to put out the wagon if it catches on fire. There isn't really much of a trick to doing it you just gotta do it.

I started the game over last week after beating it in February and I had a harder time with the escort mission this time around. The one thing I did notice is be careful not to get stuck into a pattern. I found myself, slashing the riders, blowing out the fire, and then trying to shoot the bird. I got stuck in this pattern over and over and never got a clear shot at the bird. Try to mix it up a little. That covered wagon can burn for a little while when you try to shoot the bird. It burns pretty slow. The birds should be your primary concern when the wagon gets back on the main road. Good luck. I know I had a sore thumb after this part.

also when the hogs are around try to take out the archers with the spin move. it makes it much easier
