no flaming, i just fought it was proberly the most repeditive game i have ever played and the fact that when you get all the piece's for that think you do another temple and then you need to go into more temples to get somthing else

Ultimately, I thought it was a great game. Good storyline, good puzzles... I loved some of the new items, like that spinner thing. The bosses could have used some more punch, but for the most part I liked playing it.

Except.... the problem, I felt, was not that it was a chore, or anything... Zelda games have always been about giving you a puzzle. In fact, some of the old Zelda games, especially, what I hated the most was some of the fighting. It tended to be repetitive. Once you knew how to beat a certain type of enemy, it was rinse and repeat when you found him in your way again later.

So, the problem was not knowing what the heck you were supposed to do or where you were supposed to go in those dungeons. I can't tell you how many times I lost half my hearts trying to do just figure out the mechanics of what you were supposed to do in the game. For example, in the sky city, there were about two or three places open to you before you got the item there (trying to stop spoilers) that allowed you to go further in those rooms. And I spent several drops off into the great blue yonder figuring out I didn't have what it took. One time, thinking there was no way futher I could go, I back tracked halfway through the dungeon, thinking I had to get back to the central room, only to realize I couldn't make it back further, I had to go all the way to where I was to flip a switch I didn't see and continue on.

I actually like the graphics (you notice how much Wind Waker type graphics they incorporated into, especially, the twilight stuff?) I remember seeing a trailer from this game for "The new Zelda game coming" ... and then Wind Waker came out. Glad to see this one finally came. Can't wait for the next.

i rented it to see if i would like to buy it.. i decided to use a guide to get as much done in that time as i could and i also thought it was too puzzle and not enough adventure. oh and the graphics were really bad but only the twilight, the normal levels were ok i suppose.

lol I rented the GCN game and I beat it in a week, it was a bad week...
Well Zelda is famed for it's dungeons filled with puzzles/
... Whats so important about graphics? They don't change the gameplay unless you want them too.

FF7 kicks the living crap out of Twilight Princess.

and yes Twilight Princess did feel like a chore for very many parts throughout the game, but i still enjoyed it. I probably wont ever play it again though.

So let me get this straight: you bought a guide that revealed all the secrets and told you exactly what to do when, effectively letting you cheat through the game... and feel that gives you authority to critique a game's gameplay?

Just a thought: maybe if you had actually played the game versus cheated your way through, you'd have had more of an "adventure". The adventure comes from exploring, learning, being frustrated, making discoveries, and figuring things out on your own.
