Twilight Princess seems more like a chore than a game?
Maybe it's just me, but i'm not really having, "fun." It seems like I have to do so much work before I can actually have fun (boss battles). A feature on the main menu should be made for Wii Download or something so you can just "unlock" the bosses then fight them whenever you want. I haven't touched the game in months, and still inside the 3rd temple. I'm not having any fun in the temple, so I really don't feel like progressing more through the game instead of playing something I enjoy like Smash Bros. or Resident Evil.
Anyways, feel free to share your thoughts on the matter.

That's kind of the way I felt, but not totally. TP was definitely my least favorite of the N64-till-current-day LoZ's. It didn't have the same uniqueness as say Majora's Mask or Windwaker, which were both extremely colorful and creative.

maybe these long adventure-type games just aren't for you. i actually felt the same way about metroid prime 3, which is why i ended up trading it in unfinished.
don't get me wrong though, i thought twilight princess was totally kickass.

I disagree. When I was stuck in a temple I would do some minigames or go the pond or just go on a killing rampage , then I would go back and it would be good again.
Edit: WOO!!! 300th post!!

maybe youre not having any fun because twilight princess is youre first loz game? My favorite loz game was ocarana of time. It featured what i think was the best music in the series and it featured even more fun gameplay.

The thing about Zelda games is that, the boss fights aren't really the highlight. The games have always been based around making your way "to" the boss, and not the boss itself.
Don't get me wrong the boss fights are fun, but the Zelda series is really just a bunch of glorified puzzle games. Now I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it's what made the Zelda games great. But it's really not the right game for you if all you want is to kill bosses.

yeah, zelda's always been about puzzles. ever since the first one back in like 80 something. a beautiful game if you're into long quests. the cool boss fights are just bonus features. i wish there were more horseback adventures, like when you have to escort the tavern owner and the girl to the desert village.
I've just beaten zant, and i want to find the rest of the poes before i go a pwn gannon

It can feel abit like a chore if you play it constantly because it is alot of running around and working out puzzles, i work quite abit so i don't get the chance to play it all that often so i enjoy it alot when i do get to. But like others in this thread have said it might just not be the game for you, if it is your first Zelda game i guess it's abit of a trial for you to work out whether or not you like the series! But Zelda games are alot about puzzles and storylines and not all that much about boss fights, thats what i always found anyway!
Oh and you say you're in the third temple? That's the water temple if i recall correct, water temple was my least favourite! Strangely it was also the temple i disliked the most in Ocarina of time, i think it's all the water level changing, it gets abit tedious!!

Exactly! It's all about the adventuring, exploration, and puzzle solving.
If you want glorified boss fights, you need to get a PS2 and Shadows of Colossus. I have a feeling that would be one of your favorite games of all time. It's kind of like Zelda, but pretty much only boss fights (and simply AMAZING boss fights at that).

Yep, the water temple in A Link To The Past (SNES) was the same way. They've always been my least favorite. Though, the one in TP was the best of the water temples. Nothing like a bit of fishing in the middle of a temple.

Same, I have to force myself to play Zelda TP. I thought I would have fun playing it because every Wii owner recommends it, but I just seriously can't get into it.
I guess it is my fault to be honest. I haven't played a Zelda game since the super Nintendo one. When I got it I was enjoying it at first, but then I got confused on why Link was reduced to a ranch worker and did not know of Zelda what-so-ever. So I decided to do some back story and found out that the chronology of the Zelda series is so ****ed up it is beyond repair. I have no idea why, but it completely threw me off from enjoying this game.
In addition that cat-thing that giggles every time it pops up is annoying as hell. I want to elbow it in it's eye.

Whoah, I thought Twilight Princess was excellent, I loved Ocarina Of Time (downloaded it on VC) but Twilight Princess has been my favourite so far. Its also the only one I have beaten 100%, up until No More Heroes and Brawl that was my favourite Wii game overall.
The game only gets better after the 3 temple, you guys need to keep going

I agree with CantGetAWii, except Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game, followed by Wind Waker, then Twilight Princess, then Ocarina of Time.
