I assume you are on about the bridge from hyrule castle market connecting to Kakariko Gorge.

The solution is to go around it through the long route, which is via lanaryu province and through the northern areas of hyrule, crossing the bridge where you fought the orc on the warthog.

If you're on about the bridge connecting Kakariko to the lands north of Hyrule, then warp to Gerudo Mesa and get Midna to warp the bridge stump sticking out of the sand and warp back to the bridge to repair it. You need to have defeated the shadow beasts on the north side of the bridge to be able to warp there.

Either bombs work - I suggest using water bombs if you're in water temples such as the lakebed temple. However, you can carry 15 water bombs compared to 30 standard bombs. >_<

got up to the elder and he gave me the first of the key shards. i then go up the ladder and get that ooccoo (sp?) and go into the next door, what are the next few steps? i keep ending up infront of the elders room or get stuck in this little room with no exit ahh

I'm at the part where you first get outside with the wolf. I am trying to kill the birds trying to go after me, so I do the sword motion, but half the time I fall off because I'm using Z to auto lock. The other half they kill me because there's only 1 I can do at a time.

There's no answer to this. Just lock on them and make sure u attack them when you find plenty of distance away from the abyss. The birds are very easy to kill just attack them with Al, one at a time and be wary of other birds in surrounding area. Or you can just flee from them and keep going on the path.
