On of my friends has a 360 and got the biggest hdd something gb i cant think how big it is . now he wants to out a new hdd in. will it still work? i know it will void the warnty but he added 2 fans in it so he does not care. he has 2. one was won at a party?

and what will happen if he puts the old hdd in his computer?

I'm not sure, but the 360's firmware probably only allows for up to 120GB to be used since that is the biggest HDD size that they sale.

ya thats what he has it's 120 gb and he wants to put in a 160gb so 40more gb

cant be done. the xbox360 is only able to read 20 gig and 120 gig HDDs. while you can put a 160 gig in it, the extra 40 gigs will be wasted because the xbox isnt ment to read it. now once the 360 is hacked you may be able to use a 160 gig but as of right now, you cannot.
