So... I played some today, Hardcore Search, started out slow 3-4, 4-4, then started to get the hang of it a little more (lawd I was rusty) so when I quit playing after an hour I was at 9-2. I really need to learn the new maps, got my arse owned on Chinatown and Broadcast.

got my golden mini-uzi last night. its sexy...to bad that gun is horrible. oh well.

Good job on the gold uzi, it can be pretty sweet actually. Just experiment with different perks/attachments and I think you'll be surprised at how good of a weapon it can be.

I didn't bother even playing my xbox until I got the new maps, they're definitely worth the 800 points IMO.

They sure are, even though I haven't got them myself, I've played them LOADS. I was waiting for the spare cash to get them, now that I have some it's close to GTA coming out, so maybe I'll wait until that's worn off me a little before buying them.

Either that or I'll get my brother to buy them on his =D

I wish Killhouse would come up in TDM type games or even S&D, that would be fun.

Haha yea, GTA looks amazing. I probably won't finish the single player, ever, I'm loving the sound of the online with GTA.

For those who have not bought the new maps have you noticed the lack of full games for game modes such as hardcore tdm and hardcore search and destroy? When you do find a full game everyone quits after one map - it is starting to get frustrating.

Well no one just wants to play the old maps anymore. Unless you can't afford to get them I would suggest it.

No thank you. I won't be reduced to paying $10 for content that used to be free in gaming history. People will tell me I am cheap for not buying them, but its the principal of having to buy them in the first place.

If game developers (and Microsoft) allowed user-created content no one would be reduced to buying ****in' 3 maps when the community would be shelling out maps far greater than what they provide.

Cod4 is selling like Tim Horten's coffee at 8:00am - don't you think they should appease their customers by giving them something for free?

They do come free with the Game Of The Year version of COD 4.

As for you not buying them, sure that is your choice, and I'm sure at some point they will be free. Like the Halo map pack was, but people are bored with the old maps so you're going to have to deal with a lack of full games until you do get them.

I dont have the new maps. and niether do my friends, and we play headquarters all the time, with no lack of people nor are we sick of the older maps.

atm im going for the AK47 red tiger. i have 80 something headshots. idk why, but im finding it rather difficult to get headshots with this gun. but man its nice going 3 or higher - 1 kill death ratio...something i could not pull off using the mini-uzi.

I didn't mean to imply that everyone on the earth was sick of the old maps, but generally that was the complaining I would hear every day before the maps came out. Aside from the normal bitching about, "oh there is no way he shot me" comments.

The AK-47 is by far one of the least accurate guns when fired in bursts or wide open, but the first shot is generally right on. I too have found it hard to get headshots with that gun as well, but it does do it's job well. As for the mini-uzi I only use it when I'm on the run and gun strategy, and it needs to be a relatively small map for it to be optimized.

well i played for several hours today cause i was bored out of my mind and managed to get red tiger with the AK-47. i believe the G3, M14, and the MP44 are the 3 guns left for me to get the challenges for in Assault. I just started using the M14. played with it for 2 games, and got 18 headshots! lolll. probably one of my fastest starts to getting headshots with any gun. but so far, im really loving the M14 so im looking foward to playing again with it.

The M14, it is a decent gun once you get used to it. It's essentially the M21 without the scope. I personally don't get many headshots, because mostly I'm going for the body mass to get a quick kill. (I'm also usually running around a lot) I have a feeling that it's going to take me a very long time to get the gold weapons, unless I do some cage matches.

You don't need to justify playing COD, you could have said you played for 2 days straight and my only question would be how.

As for me, I'm still trying to shake the rust, 2 weeks without an xbox and then the 3 weeks before that I was only playing Rainbow Six. Played for a couple hours last night, and did alright, then as I got more tired I started playing worse so called it a night after that.

i got my gold AK a couple days ago, and now i only need around 20 more headshots with the M60E4 to get the golden LMG. then MAYBE go for the golden shotgun, and theres no way in hell id be able to get the golden sniper cause i just never snipe and i suck when i do. lol. LMG's are definitly the easiest to get headshots with. it took me no time to get 150 with the M249Saw and the RPD.

Wow, major bumpage on this thread. Haven't even played my 360 since my last post here. I really need to though. I'm missing COD4.
