will microsoft ever enter the handheld gaming market?
i have a feeling they could blow away the PSP with features and game franchises.

I'm pretty sure they scrapped that and eventually made the Zune. Or was that actually released?

oh wow 2006, i searched microsoft handheld and EVERY hit brought up articles about that. lol my bad. maybe ill read the article before i post it next time.. ill change it back to my op. i want a handheld GAMING system from them lol.

A halo handheld game would be pretty sweet. You could play on the bus and you could trash talk and people on the bus would be like DOOD STFU!!

^ Lol it would be pretty hard because you'd have to be quickly connecting to different people's internet every few seconds

Handheld gaming sucks because the games itself suck. But PSP is actually nice but not because of games, but the fact that you can play music and even watch movies on it. Then again, iPod does the same thing.

Some of the best games I have ever played have been on handhends. There are usually great games on handhelds because the graphics are really easy to make and developers can concentrate on making the game awesome.
I completely disagree.

Booo, there are some great games made on handheld, but only a few each "generation" of handheld games. The best handheld game ever made was Pokemon. As kiddy as Pokemon is, the original Blue/Red/Yellow were great RPG games. But lately the pokemon games are no where near what they were and other games just don't compare to the old handheld games. These small games made on handheld just aren't as good. Maybe it's because developers are used to making 3D games with so much advanced technology that they have forgotten how to make true fun games. Same thing with these arcade games released on XBLA, most of the new original things suck compared to the classics. Developers have lost their touch, so now days these small games (handheld games) do not compare anymore. Everytime I get a handheld system I end up never using it, except back when Pokemon yellow was out.

Doesn't dismiss the fact that handheld gaming is HUGE, and if it has the Xbox logo on it, it'll be even bigger.

Sure in the US, im sure if people see the Xbox logo they will automatically want to buy it. But in Japan that also the X is a Skull N Bones logo.

they could easily implement an HSDPA receiver so you had tru on the move broadband..(some laptops have this built in, others you can use a dongle)
as for the zune, they did release it, just dont know how big it made it.. never seen one here in UK.

While most of the games for the PSP are ports, they are still superb. A few that I have include Wipeout Pulse, Daxter and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters. Graphics come accross well on the PSP and gamplay is just as good.

yeah i have to agree some of the ported games were cool..
and just remember how much i liked playing NFS or other racers... handheld widescreen makes them seem a lot better to play
