Btw minto, even if you get RROD it wont help. They don't replace the whole console. They just replace whatever is broken on the inside. So when it gets "fixed" your disc drive will still be broken. Though ive never personally tried, im pretty sure this is the case.

Interesting. Most people I know that get RROD get it because they don't take good care of it.

For me, it basically "just happened". It worked just perfect playing some Halo 2. I turned it off, came back like 2 hours later then CoD4 started to freeze, then RROD.

Same thing with Disc drive, it was working fine, then all of the sudden I hear a grinding noise and it stops working.

Are Xbox 360s that are recently made free from the flaw that caused so many incidents of hardware failure?

They did come out with the Falcons, though that didn't completely cure all the hardware failures.

They will be coming out with new ones which should help it.

They're constantly working on new internals, which will eventually lead to cheaper/more efficient internals bringing the price down some more. I've had all sorts of issues with my 360s, but you know, I still love it.

i bought a warrenty brought to my gamestore(ebgames) got me a new one with the same memory took only like 5 minutes
