I made my Skype before I came up with TheSteveEngine as a username. Same reason why my name on here is Redreavus instead of StevEngine. Dem character limits.
I highly recommend the Mayflash GameCube adapters. They work with no lag + compatibility with PCs.
For those of you who want to add me, my NNID is TheSteveEngine. You can probably find me anywhere else on the internet with this username too.
As for Skype, PM me.
Also add +$20 for the GameCube controller adapter you probably bought, assuming you didn't buy it scalped.
Also +$40 if you bought the 3DS version.
Good luck getting all of the amiibo non-scalped/non-imported.
Sorry I kind of left without saying anything. I've been extremely busy over the past...
I'm in the same situation here. I got everything (special moves, Mii outfits, headgear, trophies) on 3DS, and now I'm playing the Wii U version. I've heard that playing Crazy Orders is quite effective.
If I'm ever going to play Melee on the PC I'd want to play it with a GC controller.
... Which brings me to the topic of the GC USB adapter. Nintendo really should get to making more of those.
Can't play Smash Wii U for crap without it...
But then again, that's assuming computers can read the...
Sorry I didn't answer, didn't see that you responded.
Of course, the Doctor Tornado is his biggest catch, but I've found that his bair is monstrous to those who don't expect it. I personally think it's a better edge-guarding tool than Mario's fair. That being said, due to his crap recovery Doc...
I don't have it either, but it's an equipment item that works for all characters that allow the character to act more quickly after landing, kinda like L-cancelling in Melee. You can apparently unlock this by getting all of the custom special moves in the Wii U version, though that doesn't seem...
Haven't played a lot of the Wii U version to unlock a lot of custom moves, sadly...
Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask: Do any of you know the best way to grind for custom moves in the Wii U version of Smash? I've found Smash Run to be the best method in 3DS.
Yeah, unlike Skylanders and Disney Infinity you can't scan through the package. I only bought Mario since I bought Alpha Sapphire with Smash as well.
I'm pretty happy with the quality of my Mario amiibo. From what I understand, the less detailed and more cartoon-ish characters like Mario and...
I'm making it a priority to hunt them down first, since they'll be probably the hardest to get. The only one I'll have trouble with is Lucario; the Toys-R-Us closest to my house is an hour away.
I forgot to get an adapter, but I think I'm fine using the GamePad for now. All that playing on the 3DS and Classic Controller (when I played Brawl) got me used to the button scheme. Although I do intend on getting one in the future for the sake of convenience.
I tried out my Mario amiibo...
I believe you can check if the characters have any equipment by the little circle next to the character icon on the touch screen. It's usually colored to represent the kind of equipment equipped, but if there's nothing on there it's completely white.
