Can't read disc? :(

Hi,

We just got or WII last week. WIIIIIIIII!

We are having a great time. The problem is that when we are playing WII Sports for a while, all of the sudden the game stops and we get a DISC READ ERROR. The Disc looks fine, nice and clean.

Any thoughts.

How long is a while and how is your Wii positioned? Horizontal or Vertical? Anything near it? Does it shake excessively while you're bouncing around in front of the screen?

It had been on all day, but we were playing for about an hour when it croaked. It is positioned in the WII Holder in a vertical position.

It is in the open on a concrete floor. Which I would assume would not shake.

call nintendo. plus, do you have a warranty? cause that would solve all problems :yesnod:

try cleaning the disk if that fails. Nintendo you need to call, and you got a dud.

Look at the disc first
If its scrached thats your prob
Try some other games if its just wiisports theres your prob

This happened to me trying to load wii Sports, and it turned out there was a smudge on the disk. I cleaned it off and problem solved. Wii was horizontal, not on for an extended period of time.

ok, make sure your putting in the disk the right was..........i know it sounds stupid, but it happens.....make sure its clean and not scatched.......if its all good........you might want to go ***** and call nintendo
