So I've done all the Yakuza boss missions, and I have returned to the temple where you get the Katana, killed all the freaky ninja people, and now I'm back at the club, trying to get the sniper rifle added to my collection and wow - WHAT A PAIN IN THE !@#$

It says you have to hit 80% like all the other guns, but it only gives you 14 to hit, and it seems if you miss just one your screwed. Damn, I just want to run into a mission packing a sniper rifle + type 12 rifle

Don't try any of those dumb complicated sword combos. Just DODGE each power attack, PARRY all the small attacks, and every chance you get, SLASH WILDLY with the remote. If you want, try to break down his sword by slashing with the nunchuck after you dodge.
He's not altogether harder than many of the other sword battles. Just keep trying.
