disc-read problem

I've rented a game (call of duty 3) from blockbuster, played around 4-5 hours, then switched to wii sports for another hour. When I inserted CoD3 again, the console started to make loud disc-reading sound, then a message came out (something like "disc error, please reinsert disc and restart the system"), then the whole thing just froze (can't even turn off the Wii)

Does anyone have the similar problem? Is this the Wii's problem or just the disc?

It's a sign to tell you to have a break. It happens every 6 hours.

Anyways you might wanna try a different disc, to see if its the Wii or the disc.
