Final Boss way too easy *spoilers*

i dont know if this is true or if its a spoiler but here it is:

i heard that if you bring out the fishing rod agaisnt him, he lowwers his guard and you can attack.

oh and can some one awnser me this when you complete the game does it just end or can you walk round hyrule n stuff?

Wherever you saved your game before the last boss is where you start from. Its so you can go round and collect all the heart peices/bugs etc then go bash ganon again!!!
