Halloween Zombie Walk for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles-1.052009-10-21 21:09:15Maura SAccording to Eurogamer, Capcom® is inviting Resident Evil fans on a zombie walk across London to toast the imminent release of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles on the Wii™ this Halloween (31st October). The walk starts at noon (a bit early in the day for the Undead, but never mind), outside the Tate Modern. The first 50 “zombies” to arrive will get a free drink, and the first 20 will get the chance to have their make-up done by professionals. The winner of the best-dressed zombie competition will receive a Wii console, and there will be runner-up prizes of copies of the game for the best zombie moan and best zombie shuffle.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, the sequel to Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is due for release on 27th November.* The story is based on the classic Resident Evil 2, and will feature popular characters Leon S. Kenney and Claire Redfield among others. As with Chronicles, the on-rails gameplay and active camera are designed to create a more immersive, “in-your-face” survival-horror experience. *Fans will also get the chance to re-live some classic RE moments and locations such as Raccoon City from Resident Evil 2 and the secret Umbrella Laboratory from Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Choose between playing with a friend in the enhanced two-player co-op mode or with an AI sidekick, and experience new combat features such as the Evade system, which utilises the Wii Remote.

“We are very excited to be bringing the sequel to Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles to the Wii as it’s the perfect fit for the platform,” said Mona Hamilton, vice president, marketing, Capcom Entertainment. “We are always looking for new ways to give Capcom fans a chance to experience our games. Umbrella Chronicles was a huge success for us, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles includes a more in-depth co-op experience, and we are excited to bring this exclusive content to the Wii audience.”
