Can you only play against people on your friends list. Im from North America so i havent played it yet, soon hopefully tho

From what I know, You can add people from all over the world, And play 1 on 1 if you have their friend code. But, The random play thing will put you in a game with someone in the same region as you

There is a big ammount of lag if you play someone who isn't in Europe i heard. Its in the booklet
