Just Opened my wii and remote wont work

Perhaps the remote has not been correctly synced. Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote and open the SD card cover on the front of the Wii. Then press the red sync buttons (the one by the sd card slot and the one by the battery in the remote). This should re sync the remote with the console.

Press them both in Together and wait for the Wii to do it's stuff
