Looking for Mario help!

I have been racking my brain trying to figure this one out. I currently am on the star level and have gotten every star coin yet when i go to my star world to play them it says that I haven't in 7 or 8 yet. Can anyone help? I have clearly checked time and time again that I have all of them. It is driving me bonkers because I just want to get to the last level!:frown5:
