No Internet

Hi ...
Just got the Wii.....thought installed internet...and wii 24...but there is no icon on the main menu...
have wireless internet for my home ...via verizon fios...
...it said .."choose home"...did
and then said it was set up...

anyone know what happened....tried it again ...etc...
no icon...
