Question about controllers

Hey guys, I just joined the forum. Quick question and I apologize if it's really dumb. Can someone please tell me if all of the new Wii U games can only be played with the GamePad and not with the old Wii remote? Thanks for your help!!!!!

A few games will have support for the Wii Remote (almost exclusively only with motion plus). For the most part however, every game will require use of the Gamepad either as a necessity just to play the game, or to experience all of what the game can offer.

For the thread, I think most games will need the Wii U gamepad, since it comes with the Wii U and is new.

Why do you want to use a regular Wii remote to play Wii U games?
