RE Umbrella Chronicles

I just rented it to see if I would like it, and I do.
I have just one question though, When the loading screen is on you can shoot the little Umbrella symbol, I have shot at it and hit it numerous times and got a chime. I have not noticed anything diffrent about the game. Does anyone have a clue as to what happens?
If this is already posted lemme know. I like this site I just wish it had a search option.
