Sega has today released a new trailer from forthcoming third-person adventure game, Thor: God of Thunder, due out on all consoles, including the Wii, in Spring 2011. The game will delve deep into the heroic tales of the Thor universe, with Eisner Award-winning writer and lead Thor comic book author Matt Fraction bringing authenticity to the narrative as a story consultant. Players will get to take on an array of ancient enemies and beasts from the many worlds of Norse mythology by using different battle strategies and elemental powers. Using Thor’s legendary sacred hammer, Mjolnir, players can take command of the powers of the storm – wind, thunder and lightning. Players can also earn Valor in combat, enabling them to aquire new attacks, powers and upgrades.

The game is being timed for release at the same time as the forthcoming Thor motion picture from Marvel studios, and also features the voice acting of two of the stars of the film, Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor in both the film and the game, and Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in both the film and the game.

The only superhero game I really enjoyed was the Spider-man red cartridge one for the N64.
