... Oh. Aye, it's perfectly safe. Acquaintance'a mine transferred their softmodded Wii's data to their U after Google told 'em it's safe. I did the same after some research myself. All data transfers fine, includin' save files.
But I never modified any'a my games' saves, so there's that.
