Any suggestions?

Me and my friends were playin metroid hunters, and when i turned my ds off, (after i got done headshottin everyone) some of the level we were playin on was still on my screen. i turned it on and off and everything but nothin worked. now i have a big brown V on my top screen. i dont feel like sending it in for repair so anyone got any suggestions?

id just send it in for repair, nothing else you can really do, i guess. either that or email them and see if they can fix over the net.
