So far Nintendo have amassed a pretty decent list of Wii names, looks like they're bot taking any chances with fans of the console grabbing up names Nintendo may want to use.

Lets hope they dont come hunting for wiichat.com :(

All in all though there's a lot of very unusual names in the list.

looks like areas where the wii might want to branch out.

but historically i can't think up a time when nintendo tried to get it's hands on discussion forums.

That's kinda lame, imho, for the webmasters who put so much work into promoting and developing fansites, and especially for those who love the products they promote.

I noticed that some of them have 24 at the end of them. Does anyone know what this means? Does it stand for 24 hours maybe. At anyrate thats alot of names. What could they possibly want with them all?

Probably to do with the Wii always being connected to the internet ie connect24.

Whaoh, I'd seen a few of those but had no idea they had registered so many! I hope they put a lot of them to use. Wiimoney? am I going to be paying my bill with my nintendo now? haha. The lack of a keyboard limits the internet experience especially when you're trying to talk with other users, and no so bad when browsing because you mostly click links - especially on the wii specific sites I'd imagine. I'd really like it if they used the rumored headset or mic in the wiimote to talk in multiplayer or on wii websites, maybe only by typing your words onto the screen as you say them? Here's someone's speculation about wii using VoIP http://ipcommunications.tmcnet.com/hot-topics/mcp/articles/1347-will-wii-voip.htm

That is really strange becasue some of those names do not make much sense atleast you got a good domain name I like it a lot and I am suprised that they did not get it first.

That is crazy it looks like Nintendo is really hungry for wii domains. They missed a few good ones.

generally companys only go after hate sites or sites that are bashing them for tm issues, because they see fan sites and sites praising their systems and products as free publicity. Unless of course they would have something like wii.com, then they would at least try to get it from you :p

My friend just registered WiibyNintendo.com which kind of sounds professional-ish or officiall-ish.

so meny sites
take it the ps3 ones will be full of noobs with no consloe ed
