Hi from Barbados, new to the wii world

Good day, i am new to the wii world, my name is Dane and i live in Barbados. Just got my wii a few days ago been playing wii sports plus and have it connected to the net and updated it but other than that i am lost when it comes to adding friends and stuff,
i see ppl in the forums with their wii numbers and different pins i guess for different games. Are their any links to help me run thru this stuff???
