2K Play’s Nicktoons MLB has just hit stores in the US for all major consoles including the Wii, for an SRP of $29.99. In the game, such Nicktoons favourites as SpongeBob, ZIM, Dudley Puppy, Stimpy and many more get to do battle on the baseball field against more than 300 players from all 30 MLB clubs, including Matt Holiday of the St. Louis Cardinals and Andre Ethier of the Los Angeles Dodgers. And exactly where will the Nicktoons stars and the real-life baseball stars get to play? Well in a combination of MLB ballparks such as Fenway Park and Dodger Stadium, and out-of-this world Nicktoons venues such as Frosty Freeze Field and the Poseidome.

As far as gameplay is concerned, Wii gamers will be able to use the Wii Remote to bat, pitch and slide, while the optional Nunchuk enables precision throwing.
“The Nickelodeon Nicktoons have been petitioning to ‘go yard’ with the best players in Major League Baseball,” said Shaan Kandawalla, Vice President of Digital Games for Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group. “These characters have been training this entire season and are fielding a team of All-Stars to make history with the newest rivalry in all of baseball.”
And for all you card collectors out there, specially marked packages of the game will contain exclusive Topps trading cards that spotlight both a Nickelodeon character and an MLB player, making up a set of nine collectibles in total.
