Great news for U.S. Mario fans, as Nintendo of America has today announced that the Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition will be available in the U.S. from December 12, just a few days after its release in Europe. The special edition is being released as part of the celebrations commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game series.

The collectible package features four classic Mario games playable on the Wii: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3. Each game features the enhanced graphics and updated sound from the Super NES Super Mario All-Stars collection, and all four can be played on the Wii using either the Wii Remote, the Classic Controller, the Classic Controller Pro or the Nintendo GameCube Controller.

The limited edition set also includes a Super Mario History soundtrack CD, featuring some much loved tunes from the Mario franchise, including classic theme songs and fun sound effects from the original Super Mario Bros., all the way up to this year’s Super Mario Galaxy 2. The Super Mario Bros. Ground Theme will also be making its first ever official appearance on the CD.

The final piece of Mario memorabilia included in the set is a 32-page Super Mario History booklet, featuring interviews, behind-the-scenes details and rare concept art.

Super Mario All-Stars will be available in the U.S. for the Wii, while supplies last, from December 12, 2010, for a suggested retail price of $29.99. It will be released across Europe on December 3.
