Online Play

Hi everyone.
I thought that the wii could play multiplayer via online.
Is this possible, or something that is upcoming, or is the Mii Parade the only online co-op function of the unit?

Any ideas or thoughts?

it's upcoming for US/Europe. Japan has a pokemon battle game which i believe is online.

Iv heard SSBB(Super Smash Brother Brawl) is going to be online which will be great.. definitly one to watch.
