According to wii.qj.net it looks like EA might be remaking "Road Rash"
With the way Electronic Arts included the classic Road Rash games on EA Replay way back in 2006, plus the Road Rash trademark they filed back in August of this year, you'd think the publisher was set on bringing the bikes back on the road. Unfortunately, the game is currently not in development, or so the official word says.

Given that EA must've abandoned development for the game, the vid is nowhere near close to completion, but it already looks promising. Hopefully, that August trademark is a sign of good news. This is definitely one rash I won't mind having.

If EA remake it for today's crowed it will be all street with options to customise your bike

I think ill pass as Road rash was never that good

Skitchin on the other hand

Always loved the road rash games, and have been hoping for another one for ages.

Hopefully, they'll update it in today's fashion - Kick ass online, upgrade system, Amazing physics and effects and with other miscellaneous features, such as video editor. Would love to see the spectacular crashes and massive pwnage. Plus tonnes of collectables, online chat, customisable bikes and riders and even a few specialised modes (survival mode, cop mode, team deathmatch mode, capture the flag mode, leader of the pack, etc)

Hint Hint EA...

^Never really pegged you as a Road Rash fan.

They haven't aged well.

Really? I love road rash. Though I've only played the mega drive ones and the N64 version. I think I tried a PC one and possibly a PSX one, but they took themselves too seriously in those games.

They haven't aged well.
Indeed. I think it's more a problem with the technology. For a game based upon speed and reactions, the games just don't have the responsiveness needed.

I think it can become a very epic game this generation. Or at least, if it was done right...

The last decent Road Rash was on the 3DO imo.

It could be an ideal game for the Wii though. Using the nunchuck to steer and the Wiimote to attack should work great (kind of like Madworld's bike sections but with tighter gameplay).

only good RR's were on the genesis. the rest were terrible. id buy a modern version anyway.
