So to play DS wifi...

Do I need anything special. I assumed it's all built-in but I keep seeing people say blah blah adapter this and that etc...

I have a Wii connected to our wireless home network. My DS when trying to connect online for "DS Download and Play" doesn't pickup anything at all ever and "pictochat" whatever the hell that is always has 0/16 in every room.

Do I need anything special to play games online vs other people or connect to the chatroom stuff? or is it just a wifi enabled game that I need like mariokart DS. All I have so far for my DS Lite is New Mario Bros.

download and play is for playing multiplayer with someone closeby who has a multiplayer game...

in order to play via wifi, you must have a wireless internet connection

Gotcha. Well it should work for us then. GF and I both have wireless PC's...
